Before the release of \blak\ \al-fə bet\, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by poet John Hoppenthaler for A Poetry Congeries and sharing a few poems with Connotation Press. Along with the interview, you'll find a poem from \b\ \a\ and a few that are exclusive to the journal.
Thanks to the genius of Indianapolis architect Donna Sink, the city has been graced with bus shelters that are works of art. My poem "Circle, Chorus" is featured on the shelter at the corner of Illinois and Washington downtown. When the sun shines through the structure, a shadow of the poem appears on the sidewalk. Having my work on public display in the heart of the city is quite humbling. I am grateful for the experience.
