Panel: Parenting the Poems and the Babies
Saturday, February 11, 9-10:15 a.m.
Supreme Court, Marriott Marquis, Meeting Level Four
How do you craft poems in the middle of parenting? How has being a poet shaped who you are as a parent? How have your kids shaped you as a poet? What shifts or changes have happened in your work? Five poets join up to talk about the madness and glory of parenting, and share work inspired by its brilliant chaos. Join us to revel and bemoan, to celebrate, to share and help each other get from the babies to the poems.Moderator: Ellen Hagan. Panelists: Matthew Shenoda, Mitchell L. H. Douglas, and Maya Pindyck.
